Today I wanted to put the title of the current chapter in the header/footer (Kopfzeile/Fußzeile) of a Microsoft Word document. First thing I found out was to work with section breaks, which is rather dificult and quite a lot of work. But there is a much easier way as I found out by searching the web.
At WinTotal I found this short description of how this works (in German):
Bei längeren Dokumenten wäre es wünschenswert, wenn die Überschriften der aktuellen Seite in der Kopfzeile erscheinen würden.
Sofern man die Formatvorlagen von Word zur Gliederung benutzt (Überschrift 1..), kann man wie folgt vorgehen:
- Gehen Sie auf Ansicht -> Kopf- und Fußzeile.
- Drücken Sie nun [STRG] + [F9], wodurch eine geschwungene Klammer für Feldfunktionen erscheint.
- Hier geben Sie STYLEREF “Überschrift 1″ ein, damit die aktuelle Überschrift 1 in der Kopfzeile erscheint.
- Verlassen Sie die Kopfzeilenansicht und drücken Sie dann [ALT] + [F9], damit die Felder aktualisiert werden.
Sie sehen nun auf jeder Seite den Text der “Überschrift 1″. Wenn die Überschrift 1 z.B. im nächsten Kapitel wechselt, wird dies ab dieser Stelle im Dokument berücksichtigt. Auf diese Weise können Sie auch Überschrift 2 etc. in die Kopf- bzw. Fußzeile mit aufnehmen.
